Does anybody know of a good silver sheath making tutorial?

Out of curiosity, what style of silver sheath are you trying to make? I have a Tibetan yak herder's knife that I traded for over there that has ornately decorated silver sheet on the handle and whole sheath that I've wanted to make a replica of for some time now. Let us know what you find out.

First , thanks for the informattion on the tutorial.

This is an ongoing project that I have mentioned in another thread.

It is in commemoration of my brother-in-law being commisioned as an officer in the US NAvy.

He started as a e-1 and worked his way up. It is a big deal since most of the new ensigns are just out of college with no time-in service.

Anyhow, I may be making a throat and tip, or I may do the whole encilada...still working out the final materials.

Bijalongi, Sounds like a cool knife, have you been to the HI forum?

Those guys love original knives from that part of the world.
