Looking for smaller Spydie I can throw in my pocket (sans clip)

Personally I don't think there is a Spydie that fits this bill. They are all toooo wide... thin... but wide. Maybe the Kopa, but i dont consider any Spydie other than the "Golden" models. I would recommend a Kershaw... Possibly a Skyline.

If I were to suggest a Kershaw, it would probably be a Leek to fit the OP's description, but I think there are plenty of Spydies that are narrow (and thin) enough - they just give the appearance of a wider knife due to the blade not disappearing in between the scales when closed.

Look at the actual dimensions and you'll see that other than knifes with a super-skinny blade (like the leek), most Spydies are around the same size as most comparable Kershaws - they just use different shapes and designs for different ergos.

But the OP seems to be more open minded and I have a hard time believing the Skyline is significantly narrower than the Terzuola SlipIt he mentioned. I'd also consider the Cenofante III, and the discontinued but still findable Cento IV reasonably narrow. The Kiwi is quite narrow as several discontinued collaboration models like the Cento I & 2, Viele 1 & 2 and the Zowada.

After getting in my Delicas - I'm going to have to add them to the list. Love these things.

The Michael Walker linerlock is a nice small knife. The overall length is just 3 5/8" and the blade is 2.6" - but very useful. It disappears in your pocket. You may still be able to find one.

If you can get one, try the Spyderco ZDP Walker. Might be harder to find now but it's great for your purpose - extremely light, decent ergos and superior steel all in a very pocketable design. The Kiwi works too but to me felt like it moved around too much. Wider might be better in this case.

On the other hand... My personal fav is a Boker Plus Subcom in the watch/change pocket in my slacks - lot of different blade type choices and very inexpensive. Steel works pretty darn well too.

I take the clips off all of my EDC knives with blades smaller than 3". Right now I'm rolling with a Sage 1 that has been relieved of its clip. Its perfect. The flat ground delica 4s are also crazy thin after taking the pocket clip off, but obviously not as nice or stout as the Sage 1. Thats my recommendation.

In my mind, the Dragonfly and Urban (pocketable) are in a different size category than the UKPK and Bob T Slipit (more comfy to carry clipped)... but my idea of pocketable and comfortable to use might be different than yours (I wear small/medium gloves and wear size 30 jeans). With that said, I definitely recommend the Dragonfly off your list (either handle material would be great, though I prefer FRN for the slight weight advantage). The Centofante3 is another great choice, as it's very trim/lightweight and the hollow-ground VG-10 blade will slice like a scalpel.

My favorite knife is the Caly 3 Carbon Fiber in ZDP and would fit your requirements perfectly. But instead of removing the clip, I would leave it on and use it as your money clip. Mine works like that. If you can wait till July I'd get the new Chaparral. It's basically an improved, smaller, Caly 3 with some slight design changes, but massive upgrades.

Thanks for the heads up on the Chaparral, that looks like it's gonna be a sweet folder and ideal for office carry.

What about the Leaf Storm? I'm pretty sure it was designed to fit into watch/change pockets.
