Looking for some handle screws

I am looking for some screws for attaching handles. Something similar to striders fixed blades or American Kami’s. I am not trying to copy anybody I am just looking for a good heavy duty subdued fastener. I have tried small torx fasteners, and I felt like they were not big enough and I couldn’t get the particular ones in a subdued color. I have also tried chain ring bolts but I just hate spending almost $15 for handle screws if there is a better option. I recently ordered some screws from McMaster Carr and I am hoping they will work.

Does anybody have any links or suggestions for a fastener that fits my needs.

Thanks

I'm not sure exactly what you are looking for but you might try Corby bolts, available from any of the sellers of knife making materials. Look at USAKnifemakers, Pop's, TruGrit, Jantz, and there are probably others.

I got the stuff I ordered from McMaster Carr in today and it is exactly what I am looking for. If any body is interested this is what i purchased

91125A443 18-8 Stainless Steel Female Threaded Round Standoff, 1/4" OD, 3/8" Length, 6-32 Screw Size

94414A146 Alloy Steel Torx Drive Flat Head Socket Cap Screw, 6-32 Thread, 3/8" Length, Packs of 50

They are super easy to use. I fastened some handles on a knife today. It was 1/4" steel with 3/8" handle slabs. The top of the screws are about 3/16" recessed in the handles. Just drill a 1/4" hole through your steel and handles and then counter sink the handles with a 5/16" bit and your good to go. The screws are black also, so thats a big plus. The torx size is T-15

Way cheaper than anything else that compares.

I use that set-up quite a bit, anything .250 and thicker stock I just drill and tap the tang and bolt direct. I use 8-32 torx button heads. I like to buy the plain stainless and roast them a little to darken.
