Welcome to Shop Talk.

Start off by helping us help you. Fill out your profile with all the info. Location, hobbies, age, occupation, and any specifics ( native language) that will help us give good answers.

There are a lot of makers in Canada, and as you know, Canada is a big place. Knowing exactly where you are will possibly find a close knifemaker to help you.

Post questions here in Shop Talk. The Canadians, as well as the vast number of other experienced makers can answer them for you. Give specific info in your questions. Knife type, steel type, tools and equipment, etc.

to echo Stacy's comment... canada is a big place. narrow us down a bit and someone here can point you in at least the right general direction. If you're close to Ottawa I'm not far... also if you're in NS, Quebec or Alberta i can at least point you in the right direction.

I'm just north of Edmonton Alberta. There are a couple members in the Calgary area as well.

Hey guys I'm new to the forum and i was just curious I'm living in Vancouver BC, i was wondering if there are any reputable Canadian knife makers that have done a nice Karambit? i have been doing research for a while now looking for a fixed blade karambit after my emerson combat karambit broke. i haven't been able to find any information on Canadian makers and I would much rather buy locally than pay a bunch of money plus shipping for a James Coogler Karambit. Though Mr Coogler does make some very nice blades as it appears. that point being brought out has anyone had any experience with Mr. Cooglers knives? if so are they of any quality? Thanks!
