I am not sure where to post this in there. I figure the mods will move it to the appropriate forum.

I have a couple of projects that I would like done, and I have all the mechanical abilities of a drunken water buffalo with 3 broken knees. Rather than Forrest Gumping my way through them, I figured I would see if you guys had any recommendations. I have a Schrade 152 Sharpfinger blank that I need ground down and heat-treated. I also have a few other similar projects. Who do you guys know that does this kind of work? What is a reasonable price for this kind of work? I have checked with a few people who say they do this kind of thing, and I have gotten everything from "Sure, I can do it for $25" to "With the heat-treat, grinding and polishing, it'll run about $200."

How do you want it ground? I'm about 6 hours North of you.

Just ground down like the originals would be fine. All that it is now is knife-shaped piece of metal stamped out of a sheet. If you have any recomendations, I am open to them. PM me and we will see what we can come up with.
