I had paid Romey to make me a hammer and cant seem to find him anywhere. At this point i have wrote it off as a loss:(, and am looking for a new hammer. If anyone can make one or would recommend a reliable source to find one, could you please help me out? would appreciate it greatly

Thanks

I bought a nice Cutler's hammer from Bruce Wilcock.

The Hoffi hammers are excellent.
Here is some info on them and Uri Hoffi.

I use one for 80% of all forging work. Tom Clark sells them ,as do several others.

Just don't say out loud around Uri Hofi or Tom Clark that those hammers are the same! :) They used to work together and after a parting of ways they both make hammers of a similar design now (Uri's have a shock-mounted handle that Tom's do not). I have Hofi hammers in 2 weights and wouldn't be without them. Tom makes a darned fine hammer as well (and makes several styles). We have a whole load of them at my blacksmith guild forge and they're great.

You can get Uri's hammers from from Big Blu and Tom's from The Ozark School.

If you go with one of these hammers, watch the video on how to use it.
