Looking for something unique

The Presidio has got to be the comfiest knife I've ever held, bar none. Those machined aluminum handles kick ass. I'm really not a fan of the axis lock, though. In the time I owned mine it spent more time being sent back to Benchmade for repairs than it did actual pocket time. If you're already a fan of the Axis lock, though, and you like the look of the Presidio, I'd say go for it.

I'll second the vote for a PPT. The wharncliffe-esque blade is definitely unique, and paired with the textured scales it's certainly a winner in my book. Assuming you don't mind right-hand only tip up carry.

Have you seen the Kershaw E.T.? That's one of the most unique knives ever.

Just my opinion, but I wouldn't call any of the knives pictured in the first post "unique", just slight variations of the ubiquitous "EDC" knives that are discussed here thousands of times per day.

That Mcusta posted above really stands out in a world filled with black plastic.
The Ring Opener knife from Canal Street Cutlery is another genuinely unique knife on the market. It's a very old knife style, but one that's been practically extinct for decades.

Check out Viper knives from Italy:

I just picked up one of the Start series folders with a cocobolo wood handle without a pocket clip. The opening/closing action is the smoothest in a lock back design I have come across so far.
