Hello everyone,

this is my first post here, so please go easy on me :)

As the title suggests, I'm looking for a nice and sturdy knive for outdoor purposes. Recently I bought the Böker Magnum Khucom because it looked nice and affordable, but after some - admittedly - rough testing in my backyard the tip broke off. I guess throwing it wasn't such a good idea after all...

Anyway, I have rather small hands and the Khucom was a bit on the large side, which is why I'm looking for a slightly lighter, smaller knive with similar properties:

- fixed blade
- possibly rounded edge
- sturdy (throwable, heavy duty)

My budget is +/- 150€/170USD.

Looking forward to your recommendations!

I wouldn't recommend throwing them, but you should look into the Becker series. Just get some disposable throwing knives along with a decent outdoor knife. Or if you want something even more fun, check out SOG's throwing tomahawks, they're dirt cheap and very fun to throw.

Hey, thanks for your recommendation. As it happens, I do have the SOG Voodoo Mini and it's tons of fun!

I like the becker bk 16. I have smaller hands and the handle is very comfy. It will take quite a bit of abuse. Though, I also would not recommend throwing it. Get some cheap throwing knives to fool around with.

Becker bk15/6/17.
Take your blade length and shape preferences and purchase accordingly.

The BK15 has about 3/4" - 1" longer blade length due to the choil.
