Hey all, I need a few recommendations on something that fits the bill.

Im looking for a wharncliffe styled blade For SD/ everyday carry. CT law states the blade must not meet or exceed 4 inches. I currently carry a RAT RC-3 which is about as big as I can legally have. So something as close to max size is really what im after. Preferably a fixed blade, but any strong/neat folders are welcome too. mostly looking for options, I love the super steels but not against traditional steels by any means either.

Price range is about 250 or less (unless its super duper). So sadly no hinderers!

Thanks guys.

you could have a look at the CRKT S.P.E.W or Dragon they are quite cheap but look pretty good

I Saw the SPEW in a recent knife magazine and Although I like the overall design, I feel its a bit tiny, as is the Folts. They seem more like neckknives to me, where as Im looking for something bigger, comparable to my RC 3 as another carry option.

Yojimbo 2 looked good but Im straying towards a fixed here which is why I asked you guys, its not a real popular blade shape and ive only seen a few folders let alone fixed. Can you zip tie wave a yojimbo? its got a really deep belly on top that might make that difficult. I may have to start looking custom in the future.

Dragon is just over the legal limit. But its so cheap I could just chop the tip and grind off that finger choil and get closer to what im lookin for, good looks on that one!

Michael Janich currently sells the Ronin. 3.375 inch blade, g10, 440c. The current iteration is made by Mickey Yurco.

Chris Reeve Nyala - 3.75" blade. And, it looks like a version with their insingo style blade in coming out soon as well, which may fill your Wharncliffe wishes. Check out their website for images.

Or you could look into getting a custom from the new york knife maker. he has a channel on youtube and his designs are a personal favourite of mine, even if i don't own one.....Yet!

SOG Swedge I.
Boker Trigonaut (by David Mosier)
Shadowtech Raptor or Talon A

The ronin would be a good option either the current version on Janich's website or maybe finding an older Spyderco example.
