Looking for suitable folder for small jeans pocket

Hello, another newbie here......You know the little pocket that you find in the larger right side front pocket in most jeans? Its about 2.5" wide and 3" deep.(at least mine is) I have been carrying my Spyderco Spydercard in it for a while now and I think its time to carry a "real" folder in it instead.

What caught my attention were the Spyderco Poliwog and Boker Magnum Subcom, among others. I am looking at other suggestions.....it should be about 3" long when closed, blade approx 2", not too thick, one hander, safe to use, sturdy and well made. It will be EDC'd, used for most daily tasks including at work. (Warehouse, store).....any suggestions?

crkt rollock
sog blink
spyderco jester
benchmade benchmite
fallkniven U2 not a one hand opening knife, but still one of the most comfortable small folders I have ever had the pleasure to own and use
spyderco executive if you can find one. mine is used, small, and very efficient

are a few I can name off the top of my head.

You may want to look at the new Spyderco C110 Lava that is about to be introduced. It is being offered as the 2006 Spyderco Forum Knife at the moment. Check the Spyderco Forum in the Manufacturers' Forums section.

kershaw scallion/chive. If you can go a little bigger the spyderco native. later, ahgar

I'd second the Chive. Its a great little watch pocket knife.

The Chive would be perfect, but I carry a Leek in that pocket everyday and I love it. The bigga da betta!

Can't beat that Fallkniven U-2.
It's here for 48.95 which is a deal.

I have mine on a lanyard attached to a tiny pepper spray canister. Sometimes I put the knife in the little pocket and sometimes the spray.
They are attached so neither ever falls out at the same time.
And it is handy and fast.

That U-2 is a cutter. Just a couple weeks ago (before the everlasting lousy RAIN started) I whittled a piece of hard oak in the park for about a half hour and the knife didn't even notice. Still shaved like new.

:)

Edited to add that whichever is in the LITTLE pocket, the other is hanging in the BIG pocket. No dangling knives or canisters.

How about the Spyderco Delica, I just picked up the delica 4 (39.00 at Academy) and its one sweet, tough as nails folder. I'd stack it against any other folder twice it's price. :)

cheers,

Might have a hard time cramming that into your watch pocket.

My choice? The CRK Umfaan is perfect. Otherwise, a CRK Mnandi.

When I carry my SOG Sculptura I put it in that small fifth pocket. It has the axis lock that makes it real quick to open and close, and the handle feels good for being so small.

Blade-tech Mouse. Spyderco also made a version if you can find one. The knife thinks it is a moose. Cuts much bigger than it is.

I've actually been carrying a Kershaw blur in my watch pocket. Some may think that this knife is too big for a watch pocket, but I've been doing so for the last year and it stays put just fine. Granted, it doesn't fit all the way inside the pocket (the top of the pocket seam comes halfway up the clip) but I've never had it fall out and the clip is pretty strong on it.

This might not work for some, but I'm a newb too and also don't want to reconfigure my pocket configuration - keys and wallet in front left, chapstick and cell phone in front right, Blur in watch pocket (i don't like anything in my back pockets). I've tried to clip the blur to my front right pocket, but it makes grabbing my cell phone tough.

Kershaw Scallion.

The clip pictured here on mine is a custom one from STR, not the factory one.

How bout a spyderco dragonfly if you need the pocket clip or a spyderco kiwi if you don't need the clip.
