To replace my switchblade That was ruined yesterday I would like to find a store that sells them. I got mine from the gun show so I can't just go get another one. I live in colorado.

Are they legal in your state? If so, shouldn't be a problem with any reputable knife store in a large population center near you. If not, you would have to order one and likely provide credentials you are LEO or active military.

If you are wanting to order online try Blade HQ. Good selection and you don't need to be law enforcement to order from them IIRC.

Check in the exchange under dealers , there is a dealer who has the new Kershaw Launch 1&2.

I found one. In a head shop actually. It's a nice Italian made one and it works great.

We have a rule in regards to posting about illegal activity. The rule is simple...don't do it. Why would you admit to a crime on a public forum? Also, comments of a political nature are restricted to the Political Arena forum as we don't want it stinking up the other forums.

oh ok thanks. It's a good thing we have you policing these forums. What would we do without you? And yes something definitely stinks and it's not me.

My apologies Morrow, autos are legal to own and carry where I live, I forget that this is not the case in all localities. Lesson learned.

I'm not going anywhere but I'm not sure about you.

You are fine. If you're allowed to own and carry in your state, there is no issue at all.

According to this, automtics "switch blades" are illegal to own in Colorado:
http://www.knifeup.com/colorado-knife-law/

18-12-102. Possessing a dangerous or illegal weapon – affirmative defense

(1) As used in this section, the term “dangerous weapon” means a firearm silencer, machine gun, short shotgun, short rifle, or ballistic knife.

(2) As used in this section, the term “illegal weapon” means a blackjack, gas gun, metallic knuckles, gravity knife, or switchblade knife.

(3) A person who knowingly possesses a dangerous weapon commits a class 5 felony. Each subsequent violation of this subsection (3) by the same person shall be a class 4 felony.

(4) A person who knowingly possesses an illegal weapon commits a class 1 misdemeanor.

(e) “Gravity knife” means any knife that has a blade released from the handle or sheath thereof by the force of gravity or the application of centrifugal force.

(j) “Switchblade knife” means any knife, the blade of which opens automatically by hand pressure applied to a button, spring, or other device in its handle.

So that means we are done here discussing this.
