Looking for THAT knife....

We all have and love knifes. I honestly love every feature or design characteristic. I appreciate them all for different reasons. But we all have preferences. At the end of the day I am looking for suggestions because I'm in the market for a new one. But have no restrictions besides I am looking for a folder. Under 10 inches, and I don't "love tanto blades".

We also all have that ONE knife, which for whatever reason just can't leave out hand if hanging out around the house or fiddling my the computer or tv. I use a zt 0300 every day and love it. I need a larger knife to do that things I need to at work, and I am always in a rush while at work so the zt0300 is great with the blade deployment every time I bought the back bumper, and it closes one handed with ease. Then goes back in the pocket w/o fumbling.

BUT when home on the computer for a little, or listening to the news while making some dinner I can't seem to put my DPx Hest 2.0 down. This knife doesn't open super fast, or every time. It sticks when i close it sometimes and usually doesn't just seamlessly slide into my pocket. The shape is not as ergo as the ZT and I don't understand why i can't put it down.

So please bring on the suggesting about the ONE knife you just can never put down. And hopefully I can find a knife that interests me enough to make it the newest member to my collection.

-happy holidays too

The knife i can never seem to put down is a my benchmade 950 rift. Have way too many knives but this one is just unique for a production knife. The two tone scales mixed with a hard use construction and a reverse tanto blade. Has alot of belly in the blade and has incredible balance which enhances the speed of the knife. To me it takes all of the things that make the 940 great and makes them bigger and tougher. The feel and balance is something you really have to experience to appreciate. Its a shame too because I have yet to see the 950 available at any of the benchmade dealers I go too. To me its a clean modern design that never seems to lose its appeal

Spyderco Militrary or BM 14205, if you can find one. Maybe a small Bark River fixed. The Northstar Campanion is very nice.

I'm sorry. I've never found that "one". I have a hard time putting down ANY knife.

Mini-Grip, Leek, Ram and Sebenza get the most hand time for me.

BM806D2, although my new Para 2 is causing the same reaction. I can't stop turning it over in my hand and opening it.

i owned a para 2 and have considered buying a new one, as for the bench made 950, that looks extremely appealing to my eyes thus far. i will look at some video reviews.

mini grip is a little too thick for my taste, and a sabenza is not my style. i prefer the style of the sr-1's

Mine is also the HEST DPx 2.0
Love that titanium side. And absolutely bank vault lockup, and a nice loud clack when opened.

The Kershaw RAM is an addictive little knife, fun to open, fun to close, and a pleasure to hold.

exactly why i love mine so much, don't get me wrong it has flaws like everything in life but they are flaws i can accept lol

dpx hest mr.dp edtion and a strider smf aluminum and of course a sebie or mnandi:)

thanks for the suggestions, mr. dp edition is great looking but I'm not really totally into those blade graphics because i use all the knives i have thankfully so blade graphics to me are something to be sad about when they wear off. as the for strider smf alu, well i think we might have a winner!

Recently, my Kershaw Tilt. Just can't stop handling it. My SnG sees gets handled, carried, used a lot as well. Both are two of my all-time favorites.

the tilt is a very smooth knife. how well does it work though with that box cutter utility knife type blade? i usually prefer a drop point or recurve type blade

Mine is not a folder. My Scrapyard SOD is soo addictive. I love the size, balance and the look of it.

My Cold Steel American Lawman.

The blade isn't so long that it's unwieldly and the handle just *fits*. I simply enjoy using it, sharpening it, heck, even carrying it! I modded it by sanding off the black teflon from the blade, locking lever and the other piece of metal the scales screw into and what a *huge* improvement over the black "mall-ninja" look it had prior.

Favorite knife to just toy with and appreciate: Any Sebenza.

Most fun to manipulate: Any Strider Folder.
