Looking for the best 9+ inch blade for under 500.00

Ive also been looking at the Fallkniven NL1 Thor... It looks awesome, and its stainless :)

They are around $500. but you made need to stretch your budget juuusssst a little bit...

The ferhman extreme judgement is awesome. It is a comfortable handle, and one of the best looking blade designs in my opinion.

The esee junglas is a great value as is the scrapyard and swamprat models.

busse, swamprat rodent 9,esee junglas, that fehrman extreme judgement looks pretty sweet, i saw vid on youtube bout it. look it up if you haven't already.

Good suggestions so far, but I can't comment on something I haven't used. I've used Busse's INFI, Swamp Rat's SR101 (52100) and Fehrman's 3V extensively. While they all have subtle differences the performance of each of them is absolutely outstanding and I'd recommend any of them. Swamp Rat is priced less than the other two, but 52100 will rust if you are negligent. The coated blade helps resolve this... but I still prefer nekkid steel. 3V will get some surface rust also if neglected. Infi is the most stain resistant in my experience.

At your price range you can afford a fine knife... have fun with it. Good luck.
