Looking for the best folder...

I'll make this quick and to the point. I have 2 recommendations and they are both Spyderco models. First and foremost Spyderco has a double bladed knife that has been discontinued for a while but you can find them on Ebay. The Spyderco C-44 big Dyad is without a doubt the best EDC folder I've ever come across. I've been carrying mine for over 2 years now and I have no plans to change anytime soon.

Also Spyderco has a smaller more sheeple friendly folder made of the super steel ZDP-189. It is the Calypso Jr with the ZDP-189 blade steel. There are quite a few of them out there and the blade steel is just nothing short of super. But if you ever get a big Dyad you won't look back.

FYI: I just ordered a ZDP-189/Titanium Leek from bladehq.com for $125. Seems like a great price on a great folder...

As has already been mentioned you'll get better feedback if you are a bit more specific about what style of knife you want (traditional slipjoint or locking, multitoool like swiss army, or pocket clipped locking one-hand opener) and the approximate size and/or what you intend to do with it, there are literally tons of good knives out there from several good manufacturers so it's near impossible to simply say knife X is the BEST. Although there is a good number of people that prefer the Sebenza for example and it's a very fine knife but at that price point I personally would prefer an Emerson HD-7 or any of the Strider framelocks but you may decide that you'd rather have a damascus bladed William Henry it's all a matter of personal taste.

If I were you along with hanging out on here for awhile I would visit the websites of the following brands and look at their different models, if there is no rush for you to buy your knife take your time look at what's out there and get what you want, no particular ranking or order just listing:

Al Mar
Buck
Benchmade
Boker
Columbia River Knife and Tool
Emerson
Ontario= Queen and Schatt and Morgan
WR Case
Victorinox = swissarmy.com
Chris Reeve Knives
Kershaw
Ka-bar
Spyderco
Strider
William Henry
Wenger = the other swiss army knife

I'm partial to Spydercos myself but I don't beleive you'll have any trouble finding a great knife from any of these companies. When you find something you like google it or repost questions you have about that particular knife I think you'll find this is a great place for good blade info.

I've been carrying a Sebenza for about 7 years and have yet to find a better built knife. If you can buy one, do it! If you are anything like me, once you buy one, many more will follow. Another absolute favorite of mine is the Manix. Alot of knife for the money.

I am very new to the world of women, but I am wanting to date a soul mate suitable for the rest of my life. I do not know what kind of women are considered the "best". I was looking at the French, but I don't want to spent much time on a woman if she is not considered one of the best. Please help.

The site search engine sucks. Use google with "site:bladeforums.com" in the beginning of your search query to search more effectively.

Welcome to the Forums. I've being carrying a small Sebenza for over a year and it's a great knife, but it still doesn't perform any better than my Spydercos(take your pick, they ALL perform better). Try not to get caught up in the mindset that more $$$=better performance. Not always true. Sure, the higher-end knives might hold up better over the long haul(that's what I'm trying to see right now), but given the prices, that should be a given. I'd look into getting something from Spyderco, Benchmade, or Kershaw first. Then, if you feel you'd like to go up in price, you'll know from experience if the added price is justified as you'll have a point to judge from. Good luck.

Hahaha. Ditto znode and flipe8.
