Looking for very tough knife!

3x^

My first Kuk from HI could easily be used as a Aircraft carrier's anchor. To bring this beast to the woods, I need a trailer and a 10 wheeler.
Fun to own, great for showing, but not exactly practical and certainly not safe to work with unless you are a NFL linebacker.

Ya I'm kind of going for the shock and awe effect of it rather than make it a daily use tool.

And in terms of strength needed to use it and control it I think it gives you motivation to workout and get strong enough to wield it. :)

I think I asked Aunty Yangdu so many questions, hopefully shes not to tired of me! :)

....

For shock and awe you can't beat a Giant Chitlangi Bowie.

I'm wondering between a Chitlangi and a 18-20" CAK. I think they will make the CAK thicker and it will be heavier likely. But I'm not sure.

Smod if you're in the London/TO/Barrie area, I can bring my 18" and 20" CAKs up for you to play with in August.

Turbo, very generous of you man. I'll keep your offer in mind!

I think I'm going to wait for the pricing and specs of the chitlangi bowies which I heard are coming back in July and then buy it depending on that.

But damn buying a chitlangi bowie and a CAK is going to put me out of like $500 :(

That's no way to look at the situation. That $500 will make a poor family in Nepal get fed, clothed, educated and able to access medical care.
You get a very nice piece of steel in the bargain.
A win/win deal for both sides, IMHO.

Argh you're right! Alright damn it I'll get both if I can. :)

exactly -- this is top quality product that you can feel good about-- not only do you get the best knife available for the price you can feel good knowing as karda says, that you are paying that premium to no fat cats, but people really earning a living.

Hey it's only money. If you got it, blow it. (actually your not blowing it due to the precisely correct above statement. Win/win) If you don't get a credit card and blow that.

LOL you guys are funny.

I feel like ordering now but I just want to know the specs and prices for the chitlangi bowie so I know what I'm paying for. So I'll keep checking for that, soon as I see it if its not too expensive, I'll go for it!

I can't speak to the prices, but here are pictures and specs for the Chitlangi Bowie and the Giant Chitlangi Bowie. Personally I prefer the regular Chitlangi Bowie because it's just as rugged and beautiful, but more manageable than the GCB.

First, a Chitlangi Bowie by Sher. Overall length 15.5". Weight 28 oz.

Next, a Giant Chitlangi Bowie by Bura. Overall length 25". Weight 55 oz.

The demand for GCBs is high, and the supply is limited. basic principles of economics tells me they will not exactly be cheap.

Never seen a regular Chitlangi Bowie before. Guess there's another one to add to the list.
