+1 on the Swisstool Spirit.
Better than Leathermans and Gerbers in general, because of the quality in fit and finish. Nice and compact. Everything fits tightly, it's smooth to operate and all moving parts snap authoritatively into place.
It's not a hands-down winner in all departments, though. Leatherman's diamond file is more aggressive and will probably last longer. The Swisstools don't have a real needlenose on the pliers. The knife requires two hands to open. The edges on the screwdriver ends are very slightly rounded-- they can slip out of the screw head if you torque very heavily on them. If you want the screwdrivers to be perfect, it's easy to grind a bit of metal off the end to make the corners sharp and grippy.
The scissors are a bit short and stubby but also strong. It fills the gap (cardboard, leather) between the scissors on my Vic Rambler (string, paper, fingernails) and the cutters on the Spirit's pliers (wire, etc).
The knife on it is weird but the metal is easily workable so with a bit of elbow grease, you can grind it into any shape you like.
