Looking for WC Trapper

Got it in the mail yesterday. I am in love with this 48. Perfect F and F, no flaws, both blades dead centered. Absolute perfection. Could of come sharper, but 1095 is super easy to sharpen. The pull is nice and solid without being too strong. The action is fluid. I have really no complaints at all.

I was a little worried that I would miss the 1/2” from my case trapper, but the size is very nice too. :)
Glad you like your #48. I'm not surprised you got a good one, GEC produces some of the best quality when it comes to fit and finish. It's what we've come to expect from them.

The walk & talk on the #48s has always been exceptional, even for GEC. It must have to do with the geometry of the frame and springs, but I've had about a dozen of them, and they've all been silky smooth with perfect pulls and snap. The 440C GEC branded knives are even a tad smoother than the carbon bladed Tidioutes and Northfields.

They did a #48 in stainless?

If they did I'm going find out right if they did I will have to go on the hunt for one. This place sure cost me a lot of money.

They did in fact make a #48 in 440C stainless... Not sure if they made a two blade version.
This is an old picture picture, I've since sold the knife.

I like your bloodwood, but the green jig just looked too cool :)

You are going to love it. I really like the (only) one I have!

The walk and talk is one of my favorite aspects of the 48 I own. It’s so unbelievably smooth, I just thought I got a good one. It’s smooth and crisp which is perfect for that frame.
