Looking forward to the return of the big knives.

My understanding is that things are looking up at the HI factory in Nepal, and hopefully, the big knives will be returning soon. I so miss the days when the heavy choppers were nearly a daily posting on the DOTD by Ms. Yangdu. Hoping for the return of those days and a golden era of the great blades!
 
Mmmm...Swords! That would be cool too! Might be time to get me a Kumar Kobra from the man himself!
 
Ndog - you said exactly what I was thinking. I have a Tirtha 25" Kobra, but another one by Kumar himself would be awesome!
 
Slightly depressing though. All these possibilities with so many wants and desires but so little money. But I always say if you want something badly enough you'll find a way.
 
When everything is aligned in your favor, wants will always be satisfied.
 
Maybe you should consider update(=unloading) some of your older H.I and get the new H.I blades.
I am sure the members here would willing to help you with this task

Any of them would be like giving away a child. Can't think of any that I would want to part with. Did part with one or two and I'm remorseful for that as is.
Naw, just have to add to. He who dies with the most Khuk's wins.
 
Bawanna, I know that feel.

I am all for more big choppers. Bring 'em on! The bigger the better, I want to see some stuff in the 3+ pound range.
 
Forget that Petros! He aint partin with nuthin he likes new or old! I already tried that! I couldnt pry anything from him even with a Giant Chitlangi Bowie but i havent tried explosives yet...Hmmm? How bout three sticks of dynomite for that 25" Chitlangi?

Ndog, If I thought I could get a 25" Chitlangi out of it, I have a few dozen ounces of semtex I would add to the attempt...
 
one day I will have my own giant chitlangi bowie , requires horn handle-- also the blades I have been putting off commissioning, I think can easily be handled by sher and kumar, so I no longer have to wait for raj to return. enormous headhunter swords HI style huzzah
 
I'd be all over a Falcata or one of Howard's Liberty Series fighters:)

I am waiting for the return of the Foxy Folly. I have the great Ang Kholas covered along with a fantastic Koa wood hafted YCS, AK bowies, monk chunk, HI parang, neem ASTK, Tirtha Farm knife, Khadka bone cutter. I just am hankering for a 16.5-17 X .25 inch broad bladed fighting chopper. Oh man!

That's a 25" Sirupati by Tirtha. It's very very special as Auntie handed it to me personally when I visited her summer before last.
I'd been wanting one but I was still relatively realistic back then. I didn't want anything that was too big or cumbersome so I was holding off.
I remembered this when I got to her house so I asked if she happened to have one I could hold.
She was well stocked at the time and brought it out in a jiffy. Gave it to me as a gift, refused payment..............what a lady.
And then the show and tell began.......................beyond words.

Ndog/Shavru. I was just holding that single fuller Chitlangi yesterday, it's a sweet sweet blade. I'd be very very hard pressed to part with that one. You of course will the first I call if the time comes. I am pretty close to being very hard pressed.
If you do go with the explosives idea, do advise so I can put it someplace safe along with the rest. Don't want to damage the goods when you blow me up. Don't much care about myself but don't mess up the knives.
I spent another day yesterday swinging the KLVUK, cut a swath I did. I'll try to snap some photo's when if my body decides it's ok to move again. Think I'm in worse shape than I thought, but I'm still wiry.
 
And still another brother Yuvraj which i believe is Shers younger brother. Would be cool to have the whole family back!
