Agree Barbarossa. I have a lot of Busses but the ASH-1 is simply the most solid feeling knife I've ever held in my hand. There are so many great Busses, a few of which are better for certain purposes, but if you want a knife that will survive the apocalypse, the ASH-1 would be a great choice ;-)

Or...go big. Smaller chores, (and how small are those chores, really? - gutting/cleaning a small fish/game animal - maybe?) can be done with your basic Swiss Army knife. And you should have one of those in your outdoor kit anyway...Cheers.
