Hey guys,
Im looking to use some etchant on the blade so I can get that acid wash look... I have a few questions.
I know about using nail polish on the surfaces to protect them... But what about the blade stop/back of the thumb stud? Can that thumb stud be removed? Should I worry about the acid taking too much off of the thumb stud? I dont want to have a silver patch there, and I know I wont be able to fully/evenly coat the thumb stud to protect it.
Also, is the 4:1 ratio of water to etchant still good? How long should I do it?
I do plan on using ceramic media in my thumbler to stone wash it.
