Looking to add a Spyderco to my pocket

I am looking to replace my Kershaw Spec Bump for my off hours carry. I use the Kershaw at work, which has performed well, but I would like something with a little flair, and looks better that my scratched up Spec.

I have tried to find a custom folder for $200 or so, but I have yet to find one I like. I went back to looking at production knives, and I have stumbled upon a few (several?) Syderco models that caught my eye. I was wondering if you Spydie fans could help me out.

The List:
C63 Chinook
C74 Ocelot
C104 Cris
C111 Captain
BY07 Crossbill

I like the looks of the Chinook, but it mght be a little wide. Anyone else with the same feeling?

Ocelot- just enough flair and a little color. Like the blade shape. Not sure what the scales are though.

Kris- I like the blade ALOT, but how useful?

Captain- Again, I love the blade looks, but how useful in everyday use?

Crossbill-Probably my favorite (2nd is Kris). Anyone EDC it? Opinions?

I don't have a cutlery shop around, so my search has been only on the internet, and my opinions based solely on pictures. So please forgive me for asking for your practical experience.

I prefer a larger knife, and I have no blade length restrictions. No FRN handles, IMHO, they feel cheap. So that leaves G10 and stainless for handle material. It won't see heavy use like my work knife.

Thanks for your help.

I'm a G10 fan myself and I can say the Chinook, Para Military, and Military all impress. If you are looking for a hawkbill, I would do the Harpy over the Crossbill.

The Ocelot is a fine hunting knife, and it has G-10 handles.

Of your list: I'd go with Chinook or Crossbill.

Chinook - Almost got one, but the blade is 1/4 inch too big for EDC in Colorado.

Crossbill - I have only used the cricket, but I am quickly liking the curved blades.

Ocelot - great look, but I read one review that said the pug prints make the handle semi-hard to clean. Would love to hear opinions on this statement... I would have bought this knife, but bought a Pacific Salt instead.

Captain - cool concept, but... Though I may get one some day.

Edited to add: Kris - Beautiful knife, even prettier in person, but I don't know how useful the blade is.

Thanks fellas.

I really want to know more about the Kris model. Hoping someone speaks up about it. The Crossbill is still tops on my list, but its a little plain (although goodlooking).

I've owned both a Harpy and a Crossbill, the CB *IS* a great knife, incredible value for the money, however, the Harpy easily outclasses it, you get premium VG-10 bladesteel, a nice solid lockup, and a slightly thicker bladestock, the curve on the Harpy is more agressive than the Crossbill, the CB has a more relaxed curve, it's also larger

you can't go wrong either way, but the Harpy is the superior knife, i sold my Crossbill as i found it a tad too big for EDC
