Hi guys and gals. ;)
I've thought about it for a while now and I'm pretty sure I know what I want... just need your opinions on what's practical and what isn't. I'm not sure what the 'forum standard' is for explaining sizes but with folders I list sizes when folded and for fixed I list overall sizes. I decided that I want a normal size 4"-5" folder in one pocket, a smaller "2-3" folder in the other then two fixed blades. One for my neck and one for my leg. The neck ones I've seen are around 4" and considered ones that are up to 7"(thin handles though.... becker necker, arclite). And for my leg something around the 8-9" mark. 7" for my leg would be ideal too so I was thinking a small 4" for my neck and becker necker for my leg. Not too sure though, what do you think?

Ok heres what id do if was you.

Larger fixed: Swamp rat. Whatever model you like they are all good.

Neck knife: Nemesis arch-ally Great knife. Small and light. Great steel and workmanship at a good price. If you have your heart set on a cheaper necker i like the becker knives (plus it has a bottle opener :D). The problem with those 2 choices is that they are both by camillus who has gone under. There fore you wont be able to get the warranty.

Large folder: If money is no object then you cant do any better than a sebenza. I ahve one and it will serve you faithfully. For A comprimse between performance and price id recomend the rat trap folder from swamp rat. Again quality. If you wanna go even lower on the price scale get yourself a spyderco endura. But id recommend getting the swamp rat, they make great stuff and the action is alot smoother than that of the endura.

For the small folder id reccomend the leek folder. Its classic. If you want a non speed safe then maybe a spyderco delica which is a great knife. Or you could be ritzy and get a small sebenza to keep your larger one company :D

Hope this helps and good luck

Camillus Cutlery is in big financial troubles but they are still in business.
It's not known yet what will happen to them in the future.

Most likely BK&T will move the production of their knives to another cutlery
if Camillus goes out of business.

There's no reason to avoid Becker knives, in my opinion. The BK&T knives
made by Camillus seem to be in quite high demand at the moment.

I agree with Razordescent regarding the kneck knives. The Becker Necker is an excellent choice, I got mine where it's hair popping sharp. The handle is slightly on the short side though..but I deal with it.:o

As for the two folders, may I suggest the Bradley Alias I and Alias II. Both knives are slick handling, and they mirror the Sebies. If you shop around, you can probably get both Alias folders for around $300.00. The best part is you get a quality knife at half the cost, and you can't beat familiarization due to both knives operating the same.

I don't have any suggestion for a boot or ankle knife at this time.

Take care and hope you purchase something you will enjoy and have confidence in.

if you are talking Right and Left as your pockets, i wouldn't suggest a Small Sebenza for the left one, it's next to worthless lefthanded(unless you get a lefthanded version, then the opposite is true)... maybe a Ritter Griptilian or Spyderco Native or Endura

Right Pocket - Spyderco Manix or Strider SMF.
Left pocket - Spyderco Delica SE.
Neck - Hideaway Knife Utility HAK
Belt - Swamp Rat Mischief LM or a Chris Reeve 7" Green Beret.

Large folder: Combo Edge Spyderco Manix or Military
Small folder: Victorinox Solider (Doesn't get much more practical than a Swiss Army Knife)

Big folder - BM RUKUS
Little fixed - BM Activator

Small folder - one of the ZDP Spyderco models (they are both OK by me for EDC

Big fixed - Swamp Rat, Busse, Ranger, etc. - look about the forum and there are plenty of mentions of the better big knives.

Thanks for the replies.

Some nice knives listed. To be honest I didn't even know any of them existed. They are higher priced than I planned so I've gone with cheaper models. However your siggestions are valuable because I will be getting better quality ones when the time comes. Swamp Rat, Chris Reeve and Bradley Alias are ones I've never come accross, can't wait to buy one.

Here's what I went for
Neck - Randall King Snitch
Folder - Spyderco Dragonfly (Stainless Steal Handle, Plain Blade)
Fixed - BM Rant Bowie

I also bought a CRKT Side Hawg 2 Bronze but it's not for me.... although if tempted I will keep it for myself. ;) All up it cost around $250 AUS so roughly $190US. Any of you have experience/own any of those knives? I'm in love with the Rant Bowie, can't wait to get it. :D

Again, thanks for your help.
