Looking to Buy a Larger First Busse for CHEAP

If you have been lurking here for two years, then you know that Busse knives are not inexpensive.

The best value in a larger Busse may be the NMSFNO or a Basic 9. You could find a user for $400 or less.

Also consider the Scrap Yard line. They have about 95% of the performance at 60% of the cost.
 
And if you're creeping up into the $400 range, you might as well order the CG ASHBM straight from Busse.
 
Why not go for a Scrapyard if you want something not so ekspensive; 711 or 911- d... good knives!!!:thumbup:
 
Busse took price increases on the NMSFNO. So large chopper for...."cheap".... Basic 11
 
Busse and cheap......should never be uttered in the same sentence, but as listed above there are relatively less expensive choices. The combat grade Anniversary Straight Handle Battle Mistress direct from Busse is a great value for a big chopper.

I'm in the same boat as jj1998. I want something I could use and the "combat grade Anniversary Straight Handle Battle Mistress" would be something I would most likely put away in a safe - it's just too pretty for me to use...
 
I just bought a stripped B11 with kydex for $350 from someone here. I saw another mint B11 with kydex being offered for $320 shortly after that. I don't think you will find much cheaper than that in a large Busse. Spend a little more and you can order a new ASHBM CG for under $500 (at least b4 shipping).

What is your definition of "CHEAP"? :D

Get a 1311 or 1111 from the yard to start with. Then if your still interested you'll know what you want to try next.

^^, that is awesome.... I agree, define what you consider as larger and what you mean by cheap. Lot of good suggestions already, but with more info better suggestions might be possible.

Dwayne - A little unfair to say 'civil engineer' is an oxymoron. 'Social scientist' I could probably agree on. ;)
 
B10s are probably one of the best buys in a larger blade.... :)

Oh Leatherman..... my favourite is "at about" or "at approximately"

As a civil engineer, I take offense to that! :thumbdn: Just kidding, good try on that one though! haha I am a civil person!......At least I think I am:o
 
Also depends upon your definition of "larger." I am new to Busse's but have been maniacally watching these pages, and studying data sheets regarding the various Bussekin models. And, as stated previously, looking for a great deal on a "larger" knife. Which is 8" + by my take. Good luck in your search. Study; and be dilligent. And find true joy in the hunt...Cheers.
