looking to buy my first Sebenza

not yet but Im looking at all of them lol. does anyone have a CF scale model .. how well does the CF hold up? Ive seen some CF scales chip or scratch easily and I dont abuse my knives but I use them alot.

The best suggestions I've heard so far...warn you to make sure you get the small OR the large. The small is actually a bit less than 4" closed, and I cannot hang onto it. When I start to close the blade, you naturally have to slide the knife backwards in your hand in order to depress the frame-lock with your thumb, and when I do, it basically falls out of my hand.
Note that a knife with a closed length of less than about 4.2" is just too small for my large hand. The smallest Spydercos that I can "handle" are the Sage 2 or the Caly 3.5. Both of these run about 4.22" - 4.32" (closed length).
So, the small Sebbie is 3.99" or so closed; the large Sebbie is 4.80". There is a VAST difference between these two folders, although both are excellent. I have owned quite a few of each size.
Having disposed of that point, I prefer plain titanium slabs. I have owned CF, micarta, various graphic models, fancy wood inlays, etc. and I still have a personal preference of plain slabs, whether CRK or other brands.
Certainly, YMMV. CRK's are wonderful folders, no matter what you choose.
Here is a pic with a small Seb in my hand, followed by a large Sebbie.

It wears well. Here are shots of my CF scale worn in pretty good. Will provide more if you have trouble seeing the wear.

In any case...Don't worry which one you want. You'll end up with all of them at some point anyway ^

Love the look of the wear on them. Mine doesnt show much yet.
I'd like to add, that I was a guy who was used to carrying a ZT 0200 EVERYWHERE... And I bought the small and couldn't be happier.

My money would be on the large carbon fiber scales, or the large Micarta inlays. I love the Insingo blade!

Here's a few large Sebbies with the Umnumzaan. The "Zaan" is the more tactical-appearing version that is very similar in size to the large Sebenza. Look at both before you buy.
The last pic is the large Sebenza in brown calf-leather, which is one of my favorite embellishments.

I had a wood inlay and it was gorgeous, but when I found out that the knife could not be refinished, I sold it and replaced it with a plain small TNK tanto small Sebenza. A year later, I had Mr. H make a Lightning Strike CF with the bronze wire weave. It is super light and the benchmark in my collection.

As for the CF holding up, I have no complaints. If it gets scratches or some haze wear for rubbing against rougher material (like my Tumi wallet) a little polishing and effort does the trick to restore it to its original freshness.

If I had to rebuild my knife collection and could only have one CRK knife, it would be a CF small Sebenza without hesitation.

Having held many models before purchase, I prefer wood and thr micarta is good, great grip, I personally don't like stuff getting absorbed into it. Though this is just theory. I plan to get a micarta insingo when my budget allows me to.

My first crk is a bocote wood inlaid small. Still my favorite. I don't have a ton of crk knives to compare to, but the click sound the small sebenza makes is heaven, while the large sebenza is still satisfactory, takes a back seat to the small.

others may disagree.

Also I never had a CF chris reeve, but I do like carbon fiber for its looks, however it offers no grip compared to other materials.

It's a dealer exclusive.

Edit: Miss read above as never heard; not "never had".
I should get some sleep...
