Looking to buy Tomahawk $100.00 to spend

You could go the Fort Turner tomahawk route. Great quality, in your price range, but expect a wait. I'm still waiting for my Ranger hawk, and I ordered it back in September.

You cant beat Cold Steel hawks, Like I said previously Estwing seems made real well, wont break but finish is no better than cold steel for 1/2 the price. Depends on if you like wood handle or all steel with rubber grip

My experience with Estwings is that while they have a high level of toughness, they're uncomfortable to hold, feel cheap, have an awful cutting profile and even worse balance.

Have you used an estwing hammer? Very comfy, and the double bit hawk would have 100% balance. Feels cheap, I just don't agree with, personally. They do have a pretty bad factory grind but that's an easy enough fix.

No I haven't and actually I was looking at one the other day and it really felt good in the hand. I had an older Estwing hatchet with the stacked leather handle that was finished better and more comfortable but still it felt unbalanced to the point of not being able to really chop confidently. Perhaps if the poll were heavier it would feel better to me, but then an already-too-heavy tool would become much too heavy. The synthetic handled hatchet and axe though are really too far gone without extensive modification. Since pretty much every aspect of the tool would need to be altered, it makes sense to me to just start with something better designed.
I do look forward to the chance to try out one of the tomahawks. I've heard good things so far and the double bit would certainly be balanced.
