I would like to have a small fixed blade knife with black micarta scales, unless there is a better option for this profile of knife. Id like it to be 5.5" long, with a 3" blade. (frontmost point on the scales being 3" from the tip of the blade) and at the back of the blade 31/32" tall. This would be the tallest point on the knife. Id like a finger choil 1/2" deep and an inch long. I would like the scales to taper back, being widest at the front at 6/32" tapering to 2/32" at the back. I would like 1/32" of the butt to be exposed at the bottom of the knife, and 1/4" of the butt to be exposed on the top of the knife as a pommel. The pommel would be 19/32" tall. The low point on the handle, just behind the choil, is 28/32". This would be in 1/8" blade thickness.

I did a dummy of this knife in cardboard to give an estimation of it:

I have an idea for a sheath that matches the profile of the scales to give it a streamlined look when sheathed, mostly for aesthetic purposes but also because this knife is going to be pocket carried. From what I have heard so far, this sheath would be a tall order and a near impossibility, so its not nearly as important as getting the knife right. I need this to be a heavy duty tool in a small size, since I want to replace my KA-BAR short with it as an EDC. My dummy knife makes me believe this is possible, provided its done right. I want to be able to use this knife for edc tasks with the robustness of my KA-BAR, but without the looks from people in public that come with it. Any ideas or takers on this concept?
