Looking to replace my s30v Kershaw Blur

You know, just spit balling here but ... you could spend $10 and get a blade replacement from Kershaw. They also sharpen for free if you dont want to do it yourself. You just have to send the knife in to them and they will sharpen it and ship it back free of charge.

+1

Take a look at the s35vn link from house of blades. I've got one of the original blackwash versions and with the upgraded steel it is a pretty nice option if you dont mind pushing the budget up to $80.

...+1 as well

I'm not the wealth of information that some of the members here are, but among offerings from the large manufacturers (that I am aware of), the S30V Blur and the S35VN Link are probably among the best value depending on what you can get them for, and they are usually able to be had for reasonable prices, right around your budgeted price it would seem. So with that said, I still think getting the blade replaced is probably the best way to go and the most cost effective unless you'd like to use this as an excuse to shop around for a new knife ;) Also, while not the world's best steel, 8Cr is a more than workable and if you're ok with it (and other steels), your options will open up exponentially and you may be able to save a few bucks. Just some food for thought.

I picked up a sage 2 (but sold it)...
Curious what you disliked about it. The lock, metal handle, size, overall knife ?

Benchmades are very well made. The minigrip plastic might feel cheap, but holds up well.
Here's what the insides look like.

You've got two of the best all around edc work knives already in the Manix 2 and pm2. Have you used those yet?

those liners are longer on mini grip than on full grip right? not that it matters that much

as to op, i own a kershaw link...and contacted KAI for sharpening etc...they also said they replace blade for $10 so that is reassuring.
