Looking to Upgrade My Digital Camera

Any Cal -

Wow. I definitely would not be able to get that shot with my Sony. And no, I don't have a camera yet. I've been distracted by the exterior work I am getting done on my house, and it's now ready for the color coat of paint. I have been documenting each step of the work with my Sony, and while it's not like taking a picture of a splash in water, at least it takes decent pictures.

I have also sent an inquiry via my friend whose friend is a cinematographer in Hollywood, the one who had recommended my Sony DSC V-1 as a nice little camera. I am interested to see what his recommendation is, if I am lucky enough to hear from him. The Sony has done really well for me, but as I have said, the lag time hampers my best photo opps with the munchkins. And I want to do more clear close-ups, etc. etc. etc. etc. etc.

At least I won't have to develop any film to critique my work!

The things that seperate the point+shoots from the DSLRs is moving objects and low light.

In good light you are good to go.
