Looks like deployment time

If I can ask, Military or private contractor. I ask as I'd love to head over as a private contractor. A retired buddy of mine is making 120K per year, tax free as I've heard. He is on his fourth tour/ year. He is not married and no kids. I can't go over yet as their is no way my job will give me a year leave of absence. Maybe in eight years when I retire I can head over...to like Egypt by then...

Sure you can ask. I am in the Army. I wish I was a contractor. There is more money in it. After 9/11 I quit my job as a deputy sheriff and joined up. I figured I could do some good with the experince and training I already received. I was a shift comander and on the S.W.A.T. team as a team leader. I have untill 2015 left on this contract and then I am getting out. I am ready to get out and I will have my natural resources biology degree by the time I get out which will allow me to be a game warden in Kansas.
