These stabilized blocks look a lot like super good figured Koa
They came from a friend of mine is a member of the Australian Knifemakers guild.
He knows I really like hard to find woods, so he sent me a box of Tasmanian Blackwood with really really good figure a while back.
This batch is the first of it that I had stabilized by K&G stabilizing. It turned out beautifully. There are only a dozen blocks in this batch.
If you miss out on these I have a couple dozen more blocks that I will be sending in to get stabilized next week.
