It's a Camillus BK7 with the addition of micarta scales that Ka-Bar sells. I used to have a BK7 with the OEM scales, but never liked the slippery grip they provided. With the micarta it's perfect. Plus, I managed to snag one of the older Camillus versions of the knife. Great stuff! It's no $300 Busse, but it's a heck of a knife and a great bargain for what you get. Just had to share...

No one ever said you had to spend $300 for a good serviceable FB. Plus, That's a sweet looking blade to boot

I like that alot. The micarta takes it to another league for me and turns this into a real "user" knife. Enjoy it.

Forgot to mention that when I was changing the scales I also managed to cut myself (duh!). All I did was put my finger on the edge and hold it very lightly while I was unscrewing the scales and I ended up cutting myself. VERY sharp blade for a FB!

Do want. I bought a BK7 right before Camillus went out of business, the scales are the only thing that I don't really like.

I just pimped my BK-7 with those scales myself and love them. Added a little tung oil and they stained dark with black highlights and must say it is completely badass.

I had my finger on the Busse trigger but I think this with do for now with the cool handle. What a difference.

nevermind found them. I was gonna get rid of my BK7 but I think you just changed my mind. Those plastic handles are disgusting. But those are bad ass for sure. It's amazing how something like that can change a whole knife

T,

You couldn't post a pic of those stained scales on the blade, could you? I was wondering if they could be darkened.

Let me know,

B
