Since we are pretty strapped this year, I have tried to find ways to give gifts with little or no financial outlay. That being said, I called my nephew's wife and offered to do some surprise knife work for him. I have been loaded to the max the last few days, and now at 10:15 on Christmas eve, I begin sharpening, polishing blades, slicking up handles, etc.
I already made 2 carabiner rigs for his Moras. Braided cord, tied and melted together.
The 2 Moras will go pretty quick, I hope, the Clipper is pretty jacked up, but the 760 is in decent shape.
The AUS6 Spydie's SS handle needs some work, he likes it mirrored, I may have to go all the way back to 320 on it, and the edge needs a light touch.
The Case CV trapper has some festered spots on the blades, and the scales and bolsters need a touch, plus the sharpening, but it is my FAV to sharpen, that 1095 takes a mean edge.
And last, the Kershaw blade trader. Not too much work on the skinning blade, but the saw blade has some pretty bad scabby rust on it, plus deer bone & hair in the teeth. So, off to work, I will holler at you guys later. And, have a Merry Christmas.
