The handles on my butterfly knive seems kind of loose. Can someone tell me how to fix it? or is it good that it is loose? Thanks.

You may need to replace the pins in them. Then when you hammer the new pin (most people use a finish nail) you can use the new pin to pull the handles tighter to the blade. In general, about 12 years ago, the butterfly knives were so tight, that you could hardly get them open with a pry bar. Which makes it all that much more absurd, that customs called it a gravity knife and decided to illegally confiscate them. No one complained for the longest time. But now that in the last year of so, people have been complaining, the imports have done something about it. The New Improved China model now has 4 thin washers between the blade and the handle which give it a very smooth function. The blade is improved quite a bit also. But the handle is still a bit soft. It appears to be fired under 1000 degrees, which does not remove all of the impurities. But it's an improvement over the China butterfly they were selling before it. The handles looked and felt like they were zink on that one. The Taiwan is a better knife, because the steel handle is harder and the blade is hardened so you can drive it through a coin. There is not that much difference in price between the China and Taiwan, only about $2 to $4 depending on what color you get, and where you buy it. Thanks, JohnR7 www.BalisongKnife.com
