Loosing temper?

I'll post a tip... Why not use an ice push stick to sharpen/grind the final edge post-ht :confused:
I've not tryied yet, but i will this next weekend, makind different push-stick in shapes and material, infact i don't know how fast it will melt so i'll try also a mix of water/wood shavings.
I will compare the method with watering the belt (wich i found to be very effective but little messing) and dreaming of the cooled plate of Nathan!!!!!!
 
I use ice cubes quite a bit when I'm grinding straight razors after heat treat. On small flat ground knives I often clamp the blade to a chunk of aluminum to work as a heat sink and give me something to hang on to.
