I am finished with my Lorien PIF (Pay It Forward) knife. For those of you not familiar with this current charity buildoff you can find the original thread *HERE* I chose Lorien’s “A” design.

My Charity: Initially I was going to help a local boy scout in my son’s troop, he belongs to a single mother and has borrowed camping gear from us in the past. Unfortunately he moved out of the neighborhood last month and I can’t track them down.

I spoke to the scoutmaster and he said they have a few scouts that are in need of gear. His suggestion was to donate the funds to the troop. The proceeds would be used to purchase “Loaner Gear” (ie: backpack, sleeping bag, sleeping pad, etc.) that would stay with the troop. The scoutmaster has agreed to provide a “Thank You Letter” as well as photos of the purchased equipment in use. Coincidentally the troop (including my son) is on their weeklong trip at “Aspen Ridge” as I type this.

I am donating my time and materials. Kiah was very gracious enough to donate the materials and time put into the amazing kydex sheath that accompanies this knife.

Ryan, that turned out amazing....Hope mine turns out that good.....would be nice to pay it forward.

That is an incredible knife and an even better deal, I wish I had the money. I feel you picked a great charity, when I was in Boy Scouts we spent a lot of time raising money to go camping and help the community.

Nice work as always!

Yes sir very nice indeed

Thank you Bill, really enjoy your work!

I don't know exactly what it is about that knife; Normally I hate the very idea of synthetic handles/sheathes, but that outfit could make me a convert.

That knife is beautiful. But I can't afford to pay attention. Anyhow hats off, to a nice knife and a great group to lend some help to.

geez, two hundred bucks ain't THAT much more than the cost of materials! What's wrong with you people?:p

Ryan, like I said before, man you did an outstanding job. I'm honoured by your effort, and your chosen cause is close to this Boy Scout's heart:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:
