Lorlem- Loriendesign khukuri made by Salem Straub

Hey Lorien, great thread, man! Thanks for posting this up. I gave you such a "fair" price because your kind of enthusiasm is worth a lot, and I knew you'd post it and talk about it. Glad it's working for you! Chop away my friend. And don't ever let anyone tell you that a Fu 'stache is anything but rad.

that is a fine knife. Looks like it would be useful and compact relative to the amount of chopping it would do. The thickness of the ricasso on the blade side by the notches gives an interesting look.

great work both of you.

That is a fine Kukri. Absolutely beautiful and functional.

Beautiful blade - nice to see it getting used in its element.

Lorlem - any relation to the Lorax BTW?

The Lorax would be horrified by this knife.

Had a nice trail blaze yesterday, got the first half of a 7km loop trail dialed and flagged

don't eat these;

cherry tree/Indian plum got blown over in the last storm. Both ends of it will likely grow into new trees. But no, we don't want the trail blocked

Love it! 0:41, ninja duck... 13:50, who needs an axe anyway! I agree, the Lorax would be horrified of this knife!
How's the edge holding up?

On a biking note

Do you have a dog and if you do do you take the dog along on the trail rides ?

Do people bring dogs in trail ride

Looks like it would be awesome

I did, and his name was Rider. He had a gran mal seizure a few weeks before our daughter was born and we had to put him down. Haven't found a dog since who could compare to him, and have been dogless these last 12 years. Best friend I ever had

riding with your dog is probably the best thing ever! There's a device called a Springer which is the perfect training tool
