I have lost two Protech knives in three weeks. I am sure they are in my house. I just don’t know where. I have never been one for safe queens, but I hate losing knives, and happens from time. Sometimes, I find them. Usually the ones I find are in the house under a letter or something.

I have nothing profound to see, I just hate losing knives.

Thoroughly!

Not just your sofa, your friends sofa!

I lost my beerscout for months and it was in a friends sofa!

True! I have lost or almost lost knives many times due to getting up from restaurant booths, sofas or any other soft plush place to sit. Avoid the issue by carrying in your front pockets instead of rear.

I just the other day found a knife I thought was lost forever. When I get home from work I take all the my work clothes off in our mud room where the washing machine is. Well the wife has bins in there on the shelving. I’ll put my knife in between the top two bins. Well I must have forgot to come back and grab it that night and forgot about it. Well over time the bins being pulled out put back it got pushed behind them. That was probably over a year ago. I tore the house up numerous times looking for my griptilian always nothing. Thought it was gone forever then the other day I was going to paint the mud room moved the bins and there is was. It isn’t the most expensive knife but it’s a great user and I’ve had it for years. So if you know it’s in the house they will appear when you least expect it.

I lost a Leatherman Wingman a year or so ago. Looked everywhere for the damned thing as I use it all the time.

My 22 year old son lives in the basement and I gave him shit yesterday as his room was a complete gongshow. He cleaned up and found my Wingman under his bed. I guess he borrowed it and forgot to give it back and it got lost in the mess. Dumbass.

Like Christmas though as I had planned to buy another.

I have little kids so I'm not supposed to leave knives lying around the house. That solved the problem 100%. You know what you need to do.

I feel like I should know what you're talking about, but I don't have a clue.

I think that is what will happen to me. At least I cleaned my dresser up today looking for it.

I lost a knife for the first time in about a decade recently. It was my Case Beer Trapper. Anyway it was lost at work and I'm guessing I accidentally put it in the trash. I waited about 3 weeks and now I have a new one on the way. I went a long time where I'd lose a knife about every 3 years. Luckily my knives are cheap so it's never a big deal.

Do you have a den?
If so, ask the den poltergeist (nicely) to give the missing knives back.

In the mean time, have you checked the washer and drier, refrigerator, freezer, under the sink, and in the kitchen cabinets and drawers?

From personal experience, I can tell you poltergeists like to hide your stuff in unlikely places.

I have two right now driving me insane trying to find. Not expensive ones either, but still driving me insane trying to find where I stashed them.

Buck Whittaker 751T and a Milwaukee fastback hawkbill.

Yes, I would not be surprised if the knives turn up in the den or in the laundry. I just hope the washer doesn’t start rust in the bolster release of my Protech Whiskers Allen or my Protech Sprint either.
