Lost A Bet To My Brother Dan. . . Bad Day For Me. . . Good Day For The Dogs!

I'm a dirty dog. I'm a dirty Junk Yard Dog!

I have been off my game of poaching fixed blades from the forums for a while just because I wasn't sure what this one was going to be. But wait a minute, it doesn't matter because I'm going to buy at least two of each! Because two is one and one is none.

It's a good offering. I just wish it would have come with a drop point …and no choil, or at minimum, a useable choil. This will not displace the Bog Dog for me. Nice to see the thin SR101 though.

Choil could be a little smaller. Bog Dog was 3/16" thick though (iirc), so this Mud Mutt is a fair bit thinner. Will be a great little slicer!!!

They are actually very close in thickness. My Bog Dog measures .130 for most of the blade, but is right at .140" at the ricasso.

You could drop that point pretty easily, though, couldn't you? It looks like you'd just have to round it out a bit, right?

Nice looking knife!!!

I still don't know why they didn't go double or nothin' on who could skin the fastest..;)..

That's a great package--looks kind of like a thinner version of a Scrapper 5.

BTW, is there an accepted/preferred way of pronouncing Scrapyard's acronym SYKCO?

As in "Psycho"? "Sick-O"?

My brain bounces back and forth between the two whenever I see the logo.

My thought, as well. Thinner, and with a smaller choil. I've been planning to strip and convex my Scrapper 5, this new one might be the better choice, instead.
