Lost a damn good knife today...

Sucks to lose a knife. Within the last 5 years I've lost 2 that hurt something awful. I lost my Spyderco Kopa Pearl when it fell out of my slacks at a business conference. Called the center back the next day, and of course no one turned it in.

Left my Chris Reeve Mnandi at a hotel on a business trip. Called the next day, and of course no one turned that one in either...:(

Lessons learned: Never travel with anything expensive, and always use a sheath when wearing pants with vertical-opening pockets.

Hope there is some way to find your knife.

I'd go back and look for it, I have twice lost and refound spyderco knives...both times playing paintball in the woods. I lost a manix and a military running and diving (should have never had them on me to begin with) and found them both a few days later after searching feverishly. So dont give up you might find it yet.

Hope you find your knife, Dorito. Good luck!

I'm thinking of trying a reflective paracord lanyard for my outdoorsy knives to avoid a similar fate. There are some pretty cool lookin' glow-in-the-dark beads out there also.

I feel for you I lost a Benchmade 975 to the dry cleaners, I left it in my uniform pocket. I had the knife for 8 yrs and it went through all kinds of stuff with me.

If you don't go back and look for your lost knife, then you should send ALL of your knives to me so that you won't lose anymore of 'em.:D.

It totally sucks to lose a pocketknife, especially a nice one. Hope you find it.

Not to be smart, 20/20 hindsight and all that, but why not use the lanyard to tie it to yourself? I used to be a chronic knife loser, until I started tying them to my belt. Haven't lost one in years now.

Good Luck!

Dang, that's a really good idea... I figured it would be secure enough just clipped to my pocket, but I guess it got snagged on something or another... the field is pretty overgrown. I'll have to start doing that...

I would go back and look for it, but the field where I lost the knife happens to be in the middle of a military base...:o I'm really not allowed there outside of work, and I'm definitely not allowed to walk around the training areas. It sucks but I don't see a way to get back there.

I hope someone finds it, anyway. That'd be better than it just rusting away out there.

That sucks. I lost my Spyderco Police 3 G10 at a concert a while ago. By the time i noticed it was gone and went back to get it someone had snatched it.
