Lost a good friend

Sorry, I love the dog I live with more than most people. I'm definately getting a wolf pup when I'm financially and residentially stable enough to get a dog, supposedly if medicated, fed and worked correctly a domestic wolf can live up to 25 years. That's older than me!

smoke sent.

Looks like a fantastic pup. I'm sure he had a good life with you all. And you know he'd want you to find another cuddle monster.

Unless we are very old or have an accident or disease we all have to do this with our pets. Pretty much the only drawback. We outlive them most times.

I am sorry for your loss. As I look down at my own best friend sleeping I can't imagine how you feel and am fearful for the day when I will have to do the same.

Condolences brother. Losing a faithful companion is always difficult. Inevitable, but no less painful. Best wishes for him and you.

I feel for you dude. I hope the memories will be of some condolence. Good on you, not being selfish and making him suffer. That decision is a hard thing to do. The right thing to do, still hard though.

My wife and I will not associate with people who don't understand the gut wrenching and heart tearing pain that the loss of a dog brings every single time it happens. We have two GSD's, both rescues, and we work professionally with many more - we cannot picture life without at least one Shepherd in it.

Some years back we worked through the grief of losing Cinders, our Golden Mountain Dog, by spending two months making a film that symbolized how we felt. It's about her, but right up to the last moments of the movie it can be about the loss of any loved and valued comrade. Maybe take a look - we hope it helps.

Thank you guys for the support. I really appreciate it. Time will make it easier for us. Thanks again.

Sorry for your loss.
My dog has lung cancer... lung mass removed in Feb. Taking all the woodswalks we can, while we can.
Thanks for the post and pics. Smoke sent.

I feel your pain. Mine passed away at 2:45 this am. He adopted me when he was 6 weeks old, he was 16 yrs old.

Well it's a pitty things had to end the way they did; but one thing you will always have is the joy of the memories you and yours shared while your pet was with you. Losing a pet is very difficult, it's unreal how we let them tug at our heart strings, and such a bond forms. So sorry for your loss.

Major bummer brother, I've put a few down and it never gets easier. Best wishes for you & yours:(

I'm sorry to hear. We lost one of our sheperds a few months ago, I still tear up.

Sorry to hear of the loss of your family member and guardian.

Broke my heart every time we'd have to have a family member animal put down.

They live on in my heart and memory, and always will, as will yours.

I just read this and wanted to post that I am truly sorry for all of you that have lost your best buddy. Mine is laying here next to me and will probably be my last dog as I am getting older myself. He is a true joy to me and it sure warms my heart to see you guys are as close to your pups as I am to mine. Prayers go out to ease the pain but try to think of all the blessings they give us each and every day. It just doesn't get any better than the love we get from our dogs. bar none. Thanks:thumbup:
