Got home from work a little while ago and noticed my front right pocket was empty. After a quick search in the car and not finding anything I realized the last time I saw my knife today was at a job site this morning. This is the first knife I've ever lost. It wasn't anything super expensive (Spyderco Endura SS) but it was given to me by my brother quite a few years ago. Sucks.:grumpy:
So what knives have you lost?

Keep the faith brother, I make a list as I notice a knife is lost or MIA, eventually they show back up, I'd given up on two knives that were MIA, a BM Mini Reflex and a Blackie Collins Joggin' Buddy.

Five years later while movin' some yardsale boxes there they were.

Never give up.

That sucks Marty, hope it turns up.I've lost a Delica once, and a Buck Cadet went in the water off a rock jetty, while fishing.

Losing knives sucks.

I've lost (due to theft) two Kabars, a Randall Model 14, a Buckmaster, a Gerber Mk II, a dozen Swiss Army Knives, a couple of Schrade Old Timers, a couple of old Case XX folders, and 5 Buck 110s.

I really miss my Randall.

Did I say I really miss my Randall?

I really miss my Randall.

My boyscout knife. Don't remember the make. A Smith & Wesson Survival knife my dad gave me. Had the best steel I ever saw in a knife. That is all I can think of that I cared about.

Once i thought i accidentally threw my Spyderco Native away. It was at the paintball field and i was using it to cut bags of paintballs.

I thought i left the folder in one of the empty paintball boxes that we threw away at the field when i couldn't find it.

Although inexpensive, it was my user and i was upset. Purchased a white delica to replace it and a couple days after ordering the delica, i found the native in one of my goggle bags. Boy was that beat-up knife a sight for sore eyes...

Lost a cold steel mini tanto that my father gave me maybe 15 years ago. Not a bad little knife, but a lot of sentimental value. No clue where it went. Maybe my x wife has it...

BM 970, BM 640 Mini-Spike, and Spyderco C39P&S Micarta Mini-Dyad are the only ones I recall losing off-hand, although I know there have been others. Don't even get me started on the ones that have been stolen.

lost a cold steel srk carbon steel BNIB never used,,,actually was stolen by a looooong lost realitivewho came over with a sad story about not having anywhere to sleep for the night ,,he slept over in the living room and the next morning my cold steel box was gone

In 50 years of daily knife use - well- I don't like to think about it. Lost way more knives than I've brocken. Finally just got into the absolute and invariable habit of cliping the knife back onto my watch pocket as soon as I'm not cuttin, pryin or poundin with it. Been about 10 years since the last time I lost one. Damm - I really am temptin Murphy with that statement !

m1marty - sorry for the loss - so far, I haven't lost an EDC yet. I'm sure my day is coming.

Jeez Looweez, I need a couple shots of Tanqueray just thinkin' about that, especially the Randall.

Years ago, I left most of my knives with my uncle for safekeeping while I moved. Some little turds :grumpy: broke into his garage and stole $2k worth of his tools, and all my knives but one. One was a handmade bowie (very sentimental to our whole family) made by a family friend who later took his own life. (Apparently, physically very ill at the time.) I still get pissed when I think about it today; I bet those knives all ended up at a garage sale somewhere.

Yup. Definitely feel the need to go caress the green queen now . . . need some comfort . . .

thx - cpr

Ancient history: The flea market scout knife I bought when I was 10 or so. Cleaned up the rust and had fun with it all that summer. Then lost it somewhere in the woods behind our house. Still gets me that I lost it. :(

Recently: I lost my thin Al Mar Osprey folder at Brit's Pub in Minneapolis. I know it must have slipped out of my pants pocket while sitting in a big leather chair with my feet up. :grumpy:
