Lost a knife lately?

I lost a spyderco police model in college, and as someone said as soon as the katz folder I bought to replace it showed up...she found it (yes its that kind of story) somewhere in the frame of her bed...

So the question is... if you hadn't recovered the knife would it have been worth it? :D

Never lost one for very long, but it's scary when you can't find your favorite edc. Moving to and from college is when I used to lose stuff. Always check your car; there's stuff in there you forgot you had. And be very careful in movie theaters. The way those seats are angled, your knives, keys, wallet, etc., will slide right out and onto the floor. I lost my wallet that way once, but thankfully never a knife. I would hate to think that some kid working at the theater was impressing his mall ninja pals with my blade.

found a buck 110 last night out camping in the river bottoms. Handles are gone its just the full blade tang and rusty as all hell but I found it. Will cleanup later and put new grips on it.

I lost/misplaced a Spydie Meerkat a few weeks ago:mad: I bought two originally, but I'm usually quite careful with my blades. Luckily, the store I bought them at, still had some, so I got a replacement. I was indirectly hoping that Murphy would strike and it would auto magically appear somewhere I wasn't expecting (it happens with pens and tools doesn't it:) ) after I bought the new one, but it hasn't happened yet. In one sense, it is kinda funny thinking about whomever finds it, opens it, and tries to close it:D

I HATE losing knives. I can't say that I have ever lost a knife outside the house, but I have had (on several occassions) my Native slip out of my pocket and disappear for a while. Generally I tear the whole house apart and only find the knife while I'm putting the house back together. Although it has slipped out in my car a few times but was promptly found.

2 over the past three years have been bothering me that much. A Kershaw Boa with splash anodized handle lost at a Dave and Busters, and an Emerson Commander at a night club meeting my future wife (think I caught it on something like a chair or whatnot haven't seen it since)

While in the field on Ft Hood I was fortunate enough to find a Benchmade Elishewitz ATS-34 still in the sheath. It had been outthere for a while as the grass was grown over it and the Micarta handles on one side were sun bleached. I cleaned her up and still it is one of my favorite knives.

3 weeks ago, I received my brand new TOPS knife...of course the next morning I had to test it, and what better place to do that then the woods...deep woods. So I'm climbing a mountain and tumble on a rock wich leaded to a nasty fall. My knee landed on a rock wich tored my pants and skin and now I'm bleeding, but the first thing I noticed was where's the knife!!! GONE I looked for an hour or so before I decided that I had to take care of my knee. So I took a waypoint on my GPS and I went back very pissed off to my car wich was 2 hrs away by foot. After an almost sleepless night I rented a metal detector and went back to scene of the crime. You know what? a mountain is made of rocks wich contains metal, so the metal detector was useless, but stubborn as I am, I spent 3 hrs seaching for the f....... knife and found it on my last pass no where near I fell like every time you drop something, there's a spirit that pushes it eslewhere. Now I have a story behind this knife...I only need 21 more stories for the other knives...:) hope you find yours...Cheers!!!
