Okay, I lost the Delica I had engraved. I have replaced it with an Endura engraved (in the embellishment forum).

BUT.... I am so frikkin paranoid now that I'm goin batty.

I've had the knife back from the engraver for almost a whole DAY and have tried:
IN the pocket
CLIPPED to pocket (how the lost one was carried)
In a velcro pouch.

I just searched eBay for "knife sheath" and got back 4,022 items.
Cabela's comes up blank.

Does anyone know of a really FLAT carry snap down flap sheath that might fit an Endura? I don't want one with a separate LOOP that lets the sheath flop out like a wall sconce.

I have a small Buck sheath for my Fallkniven that has the loop riveted FLAT to the sheath so there is no swingout.
I was thinking of one with the actual back of the sheath slit with two slits like really CHEAPO sheaths used to have.
It would be ...flat.

REAL flat.

Those are for pocket. I was looking for belt sheath. But those might be "moddable."

:)

How did you manage to lose it? I carry my knives in my front right pocket clipped on the right side against the seam for years and haven't lost a knife yet.

I'm not trying to be a wiseguy, but you might also consider carrying a relatively inexpensive but high quality folder (Spydie Tenacious comes to mind) that you are not paranoid about losing.

how about a nice lanyard with a mini carabiner? I've seen some really beautiful handmade lanyards that would go nicely with your knife. then you could carry it clipped in pocket with the carabiner attached to a belt loop or something like that? I checked out your knife on the embellishment forum, its beautiful. I can see why you would be concerned about losing it. Or you could just have a custom kydex sheath made to protect your investment.

I carry and E4 in a large Benchmade sheath on the belt. It's one of the flatter sheaths for carry and works fine. (I've carried the E4, or some variation of it, in the same BM pouch over two years and no issues).

Clip it in your and don't worry about it. I'm saying losing the first one was a fluke.

You and Mmarkh could be right.

It ...WAS... a fluke. I lifted a VERY heavy satchel into the trunk and the clip DUG into my arm and extracted the knife.

I didn't notice til I got home and noticed the blood and missing knife.

I had no previous problem. Not even a close call that I know of.

Maybe I could take DRUGS! Become unconcerned about anything.
:D

+1 for the dummy cord idea. I was just about to write it myself. Also, yes, that knife looks amazing.

Forget all that. For a special engraved knife like that, that you seem to really cherish get a Custom Lifters leather sheath for under $50 and have it made EXACTLY how you want!!!! And get it engraved or stamped too. Check out how Nice the work is-http://www.liftersleather.com/

Losing a Delica is easy to do. When I was in college the seats in one of the large theater type classrooms picked 2 Delicas from my pocket over 3 years. Both times I noticed before I got to my car but they were gone by the time I got back to my seat. Can't blame them though.

Lifterleather or vessleatherworks are very good suggestions. I'f your really paranoid about losing and don't mind taking a extra step to deploy your knife, may I suggest to put a lanyard on it and some sort of clip to attach to one of your belt loops.

oooooohhhh, pretty! pretty pretty pretty.

Right now it's clipped to the pocket and with tip down carry seems to be behaving.

I'm like Evil Roy Slade trying to learn to walk without my guns.
:D

I also vote for Lifter's Leather. If you don't want leather, then I vote for one of TAD Gear's sheaths.
