I'm a big fan of Spyderco, Benchmade, Victorinox, Opinel, and plenty of others. However, my respect for Benchmade has dropped a little after reading the text of one of their adds, ironically read on their forum site:
"Ditch the $20 cheapy and that Swiss thing with the corkscrew and stop using your housekey to open boxes. A Benchmade is engineered to be sharper, more durable, and more acessible than anything the world has seen. Even if you only use it for box opening. But when the situation arises that you really need a knife, what you'll need is a Benchmade"
