lost a little respect for Benchmade, SAKs are good knives

Myself, i wouldnt lose any sleep over it nor condem a company for a fun poke at any competing company.

I myself wonder if sak owners are that insecure not to get the gyst of it.

Feeling a little small next to the BM lol :D

Theres no comparing the two, there in different leaques altogether.
However, they may a snag a few sak owners into looking into BM's as maybe thye didnt know of them prior and only though the sak was all that.

I giggle every time i see the add.

Would almost be like if Klein tools compared thier linesmen pliers to a leathermans pliers, there is no contest.

So from a totally pure cutting implement to a partially bladed one, again, no contest imho.

In both instances, there will be only one winner, and it will be the one built dedicatedly for thier purpose or chore.

All imho.
But feel free to flame me. :D

It's just advertising.

Which is in fact false, the large blade on a SAK is made from thinner stock with a thinner and more acute edge and will easily outcut most if not all of Benchmades knives on cardboard. They also claim for it to have a broader scope of work, but compared to something like a Rucksack this is nonsense. SAK's are just an easy target, how would you react if they said the same thing about Spyderco. Many (most outside of this forum) will view SAK's as low end knives which is the deception Benchmade is playing into.
