Well, a few months back, halfway through the work day I realized my beloved Case Swayback Jack in CV was missing from my pocket. Unfortunately, part of my job consists of driving many different customer's vehicles throughout the day. I checked the last couple vehicles I had been in to no avail. I made sure to let everyone know that I had lost it, in case someone came in to return it. Well, after a few days I figured it was a goner for sure. I figured this is probably the nicest pocket knife that lucky customer had ever got to hold, and weren't in a hurry to play good samaritan...

Fast forward a few months to today, when it was returned! Lady pulled up, told a coworker that there's a knife on the floor of her car and she thinks it might be one of ours, he recognized that I had lost one and got it back to me.... Luckily it was lost in a nice person's car, the bad part was that it looks like they NEVER clean their car, and that's how it was misplaced for so long :p

Definitely brightened the rest of my day a bit.

I remember your post when you lost it - glad you got it back!

I found a nice snap-on ratchet, wobble extension and deep well socket under the hood of my wife's Impala after she had it in the shop when the engine light came on and she was near a dealership.

I returned it to the mechanic of course.

Congrats. Luckily there are still some good people in the world.

A Happy-End! Great for you. I also can remember, when I read about how you´ve lost it.

(You can be glad that some people clean their car after a couple of months. Some don´t do it a couple of years. ;) )

Kind regards
Andi

Do you mean the Ball in Cage?

In the addition to link above, a search for "Ball in Cage" will turn up other helpful links, including to videos.

Nice to see you two reunited, but the pain of losing my great grandfather's Case XX #61 at a baseball game at a local park has been resurfaced :sorrow:. I really loved that knife.
