Absolutely, no doubt about that statement! Thanks Dave, Bucksway, and Flatlander. But I'm still bummed that this happened on my watch. :(

P.S.: I have a credit card receipt from the post office here showing the zip code to which Bucky was mailed, but they say that is no help in attempting to locate it.

Mainewoodsman look for it in 5 to 6 days I'll post the tracking number here so we can all follow it's journey.

All, FYI for future reference. I did not know this previously, but apparently tracking simply confirms that delivery has been made at the opposite end (I always thought that was delivery confirmation), and does not actually track a package through its journey through the system. I've learned a lot about "mailing" through this episode, and will never again ship without insurance.

23013460000144027269 and yes you are right about that....It went out about 2;20 today. Mainewoodsman, you will have to sign for it BUT since its a 112 it will be worth it! I truly do love a finger groove 112 and now ya'll will get the chance to sing it's praises !!! Who gets it after you??

Bless you Bucksway; Rubber Bucky has been resurrected!! I'm pretty sure Hawkeye is next on the list, so it's back to Texas; I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.

Thank you my friend -- can't wait ;)

Signing for it is no problem! Appreciate your efforts.

Happy New Year!!

Woody

PS You should have thrown in a couple of EDC's, I'd sharpen them for you.

Dave is really on to something with RB....Buck should really make it.A custom shop option??? Why not! Charge 25.00 to 30.00 for it....

Dave,

Got the horsebucky buffed up a bit and on the way. Let me know what you think.

your fit with the horse is better then my alpha fit..!!
it grips good.. it is not as soft as the alpha to touch
the alpha is hard to finish as it has two different materials composing it..
a hard plastic subsurface with a softer griper composition bonded to it..
it will make a fine prize! thanks!
i am working on two 110's to go to afgan badlands now and will be done soon..
has any one got a beat up old user 112 they can send me?
there is a militarily nurse in the badlands and word is she can use a battle buck..
i have the alpha grips to put on it...
i need to find out if there is a 343 address around here and check if they have any buck knives show up..
seems the post office may hire dislexects.. :p

Dave,

I'm glad you like it. I'll do another I think and see if I can improve on the next effort (you know the spot I'm talking about). I went the wrong direction with the grinder. A lesson learned. g

I have a clue as to what 'Might' have happned to the 110 RB.... Maine's correct po box is 8941... Tin the add you sent me [that I used] was 8491..Transposed !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So RB110 might be at 8491!!!!!!!! send them a note...If there cool/honest folks [if they have it ] they will send it back to you! Yep, Woodie also contacted me about this same potential transposition, and it is indeed possible. However, the package had Woodie's name on it, so if that is indeed what happened, I would have thought that the other folks would have been honest and up front about it and either returned it to the post office personnel or returned it to me as the sender.

I'm liking the rubberized 112 a lot, since one my EDC for the past few months is a FG112, that user went on the shelf and the new one in my sheath. The scale width is good, polished blade, very nice.

More to come.

GOOD NEWS, and Bucksway, you need to get a job with the CSI Miami folks!! ;) Rubber Bucky showed up in my mailbox today, unopened from its original packaging; I sent it out exactly one month ago today on December 15. And Bucksway, you are correct; I did indeed make a transposition error in Woodie's PO box number (my bad as the young-uns say) so I guess I owe an apology to all the good folks at usps that I have been bad mouthing for the past month. I don't know why it took so long to be returned, but it's here and that's all that counts. I think Hawkeye still has Bucksway's knife that he received from Woodie (and I'll email all three of you as well), but why don't we get Bucksway's knife sent back to him and I'll forward this one to whoever is next on the list.
