I'm really bad about losing stuff and I figure some of you are too. I want to hear about some of the knives you've lost.
I'll go first.
In 2003 my sister gave me a SAK Spartan for Christmas. But not just a regular one, it was tranluscent blue with "Ford Motor Company" written down the side in silver script. Now I'm a Ford guy and a knife guy so it was perfect. My sister doesnt have alot of cash so this really meant alot to me. I carried it every day for about a year until that fatefull day. I was hanging in a harness under a coveyor belt at the quarry replacing rollers about 90 feet up. The knife just slipped out of my Carhartts and plummeted into an eight foot tall pile of baby powder fine rock dust. I didnt realise it at first until later on when another guy asked me if I had found what fell out of my pocket. I went back to have a look but it was gone forever. I was so mad and sick about it.
Even though it was just a cheapo SAK, it was my favorite gift I've ever gotten. I'm still pissed about it. :grumpy:
