Lost knives, lets hear your sob stories.

i got 2 busse steel hearts in the 90,s not infi but the A2 versions,i lost one hunting in 1998 an the other one was stolen,it was in my truck they stole the whole dam truck,i always wonder if they know the value of the blade they are holding in there hands.i bet they dont have a clue,,aloha

I am even with the board. Lost about a dozen and found about as many. I also wore a lot out but had fun doing it.

my cammilus heat was my fav carry knife ! that thing was great then i lost it while on a hike with my ex....cant get em anymore :\

About 40 years ago I bought Gerber's first model folding hunter with the high-carbon tool steel blade. It was my first serious knife and my first locking blade. That was in southwest Ohio. A few years later I was in Maryland and had a local shop flat grind that blade. Somewhere in the next couple of moves that knife got lost.

I always loved the handle. It was the fattest folding knife I have ever seen, but it filled my hand nicely. It always felt comfortable. I never had to worry about it being sharp; it held an edge better than any other knife I had.

My Spyderco Endura 4 is far more practical and holds an amazing edge so I'm not really looking to find another Gerber Folding Hunter. But it surely was a pretty, comfortable knife. I still miss it a little, even though it's been over 20 years since I last saw it.

ive never lost a knife, but then i dont carry everyday.

i did however find a SAK. i must have been going about 60km/h down the road when i spot this little glint of red and a corkscrew poking out from under a bush. i instantly knew what it was.
it must have fallen off/out of someones car as they were driving coz the scales had a few dents and it was covered in dirt. i broke my thumbnail trying to open the awl it was so full of grit it just wouldnt move. but i managed to clean it up to new again

I had a pocket clip come off once while exiting my work truck, I know that because I found the clip. It was in an industrial back alley, frequented by dozens, if now hundreds of 5-tons and tractor-trailers. This was in about January. I kept my eyes open, and at first day of spring melt, mid-April, I found it in the bottom of a deep rut. Not really any worse for wear, despite being driven over too many times to count. I think it was a Kershaw, tanto blade, steel handles, liner lock. It was about a $30 blade, was in between knife collecting obsessions at the time. I had had that knife about 3 years of edc at that point, but of course this is a sob story, I set it down at a business about 2 months after that, and the scumbag receiver pocketed it. I called him on it, but in that neighbourhood, lying is a way of life and poof, it was gone forever. Started me back looking for the "perfect" blade tho, hehe.

Emerson CQC-7 B mini

Yep the little fella, lost, gone, /cry

Oh im supposed to tell the story, oki.

Erm one night I decided it was a great time to go out blind drunk and bark at the moon, well after a litre of Vodka I awoke at 4 AM in an industrial park minus my trousers well most of them (they were all torn up) and...my Emerson CQC-7 mimi B. Funny thing is of all the things I lost that night the only thing was my knife which is near enough a miracle considering it grips like a S.O.B to the inside of a pocket with that liner material.
