I've paddled the Brandywine many times and worked not 20 yards from it's shore. Very sorry for your loss my friend, smoke sent.

Sorry for your loss, DR.MUDD !! That location is only a couple of miles from my home, and I know that small waterfall well. As docile as the Brandywine Creek is normally, heavy rains can make it particularly perilous.

Thank you to all my brothers and sisters here on the WSS forum. You words, thoughts, and prayers are much appreciated.
Chad and Chris were both experienced kayakers (despite what some of the news stories have claimed) and will be sorely missed. Went down and visited with their folks last night. That was tough... As a father of four I cannot even begin to gauge the depth of Joe and Ellies' grief.
No, they aren't related to anyone form Yonkers. Both were corn fed Iowa boys who got moved around a lot when they were young (following their Dad's work). they lived in Illinois, Montana, Kentucky, Canada....
